Experienced in electronic and electro-mechanical technologies, approaches problem solving logically. A confident and competant hands-on person who can work alone or as a valuable team member. Sets high standards of Work, based on 17 years service in Royal Navy, working as an avionics technician. Effective communicator, orally and in writing.

An enthusiastic and energetic team player, who can skilfully communicate. Identifies solutions to problems quickly with an ability to reach objectives on schedule. A good administrator and organiser, who can set goals, make decisions and give instructions. Possess a natural ability to assess people, which is backed by an understanding of a wide range of technologies and business disciplines.  


I am interested in most outdoor activities, and lucky enough to have been a Resource and Initiative Outdoor Pursuits instructor in the Royal Navy. Participated in Caving, Mountaineering, Orienteering, Canoeing, Sailing. Concentrate on the Sailing now.


  • Work: RETIRED. Was a technical author in the Satellite Set-Top Box industry. Spent 17 years in Royal Navy, Fleet Air Arm. Account manager with Honeywell Aerospace & Defense, looking after Ministry of Defence and Defence industry clients.  Technical Training role teaching Cable TV network planning using Geographic Information Mapping System. Participated in The British Steel Challenge Round The World Yacht Race as an Operations Room Officer.

  • Play: Sailing most weekends, all year round, in The Solent area. Holidays spent sailing - usually French side of English Channel, Normandy, Brittany and the Channel Islands with occasional holiday periods spent in the Bay of Biscay area and South West Coast of United Kingdom and Isles of Scilly.

  • Chilling out: Not that I have much time, but enjoy most light hearted theatre and popular music.

  • Interest 2: General interest in technology gives me a buzz.
