  • Travel (Expedia)
On-line travel agent sponsored by Microsoft. Low cost air fare offers and access to other general travel information.
  • Travel (I-Find)
My favorite travel site. This site is well organised and has links to everything you would ever need. Good search facilities for telephone numbers complete with extensive information, the ability to either remove or update the information, e-mail addresses, the AA, RAC, Rail, Road and Air transport. A worthy site. A variety of maps and route planning facilities are also available.
  • UK Streetmaps
This is the best free mapping site I know. Try it! Once you link to the map of your choice bookmark it so that you can bring up the map again, without having to enter details. Impressive!
  • The Alps
    (Auberge Camelia)
OK! This is family. My brother-in-laws alpine hotel. Situated between Geneva and the beautiful city of Annecy. A great stopover for getting that alps air, be it winter or summer.
  • Route Planner
Nice French route planner this. Comes in three languages and I found it worked out a route plan very quickly. It also lists hotels, petrol stops and other places of interest on route. Worthwhile giving this site a try when traveling Europe.
  • Last Minute Deals
Value for money deals on flights, hotels, entertainment, holidays, gifts and auctions. No catch except that it has to be when they say, and that could be at very short notice.
  • Skiing Holidays
Everything you need to plan your next ski holiday in Europe, Canada & the USA, from booking accommodation to arranging insurance and getting your ski pass and lessons.
  • Ordnance Survey
Interesting 'freebie' site which has useful mapping information and some freely available e-maps
